Today marks my first year keeping ants, it does seem much longer than a year since I opened the box from Edu Science with my Campontus herculeanus in it. In this year I have learned well that you don't have to leave a piece of cotton wool the size of your thumb nail, soaked in honey all the time in the set up and that if you do, you will over feed your ants so that they will never come out because they don't have to. Also, leave them alone and let them do things for themselves ants know best. Don't give money to dodgy ant dealers and don't believe anything they tell you about getting your money back. Never be afraid to ask if you don't know something and don't take it too seriously. One last thing is to say thanks to all of you for your help and support.

You observe something new almost everyday, whether its a behaviour that you've not seen before, or just your ants deciding that they want something different for a change. Glad you're enjoying it and hope you contiune to Kyle
