I do not think I openly spoke about getting sacked from my last job back in Jan, but today I started a new job down in central London on Fleet Street. I am working in the mail order department of a bookshop that specialises in legal literature for barristers, lawyers and law students. What’s better still is that is a mon-fri job 9.30 to 6 so I'll have some order to my life for a change, which I could do with right now. There’s some very interesting people working there, in fact I would say unusual, the likes of which I have never encountered before, so I'm sure it will be interesting.

Good luck with your new job FL I hope it serves you well I don't envy you travelling into central London though. We are 65 miles south and that is too close. I hate city living, having been brought up in the country.

I prefer that part of London to the areas local to me the people tend to be more upmarket although sometimes a little eccentric but at least it feels like England and safe. I have lived in London all my life mind was born and raised here, I love the architecture and the fact that Sweeney Todd’s barber shop is no more than about 300m down the road from the shop I work in. Tomorrow there’s going to be the release of some new book and I volunteered to do some over time to help this French girl serve drinks to the clientele, not quite sure how someone like me is going to get on with barristers and authors of legal literature but I’m sure it a be fine. Today was great a lady who works in the office and lives in my part of London, although I think she’s German gave us a tour of the local area, showing us around the temple (the place built by the knights after the crusades) and showed us the offices of our clientele. It just seems such a laid back and easygoing job.
