Hi all, Not sure what it is like in your part of the country, but it's not sunny by me Weathermen have been saying all week that it is going to be hot and sunny this weekend I must have a big cloud over my house I was going to have a look around for some new queens/colonies Shawn

Hi Shawn, Not that I want you to feel envious, but it has been warm and sunny along the south coast of England all morning I haven't been out there yet, but as Jenant is on a weeks leave from tomorrow we hope to try and get some nice pics of ant nests next week. Shame there isn't any good old quarries or stone walls out in our local countryside, as stones are great places to find Myrmica nesting under. You could try the Malvern Hills, as on the Herefordshire side there are several good places to look

Yes wood I keep meaning to take the dog up there. The Malvern spring show is very soon so I might drop the wife off and wander off with the dog The sun is trying to come out now so I might get a warm evening Shawn

I have just ridden home on my bike, and it is glorious out there. I felt quite silly wearing a winter coat, but at 6AM it is quite chilly on going to work.
