Any USA member, or any member that knows of ants that stay in Florida? please tell me, as I am going in 6 days and would like to try and catch some and observe them any help would be appreciated.

www.antdata.org/usants/statelists/FL.htmHave fun, and DON'T just go around care free, unlike the UK there are plenty of things that could put you in the hospital, or worse. Meaning snake big or small, spiders and insects, and of course alligators.

Lucky you going for a holiday in Florida, hope you have fun Of course, like Ant says you must be very careful of poisonous snakes and alligators; and if you do capture any interesting ants, don't try and bring any home unless they're dead specimens, as the USA customs people could stop you bringing live ants out of the country, so play safe and don't get into trouble or into hospital with a nasty bite or sting from anything

You could go and collect white footed ants. I read they where native to florida.
