Sammy, I had great trouble in trying to play this clip, Firefox did not want to know at all, and my other browser only played it for 30 seconds. Photobucket can be quite poor for video. Youtube is far more reliable

I saw it where you took the lid off, but I cannot even get it to play that bit now. Even Proboards server is playing up tonight, Sundays do get far to many people on the servers. Photobucket I have noticed have slowed down a lot lately

If you have placed it on Photobucket, where is the url then?
It still doesn't work on the old original url above!

I found that the Photobucket video played for about 1 minute. It kept stopping at times, but that is how these things go and is not the fault of Sammy. However, you may find that YouTube will play your videos better

Perfect The film started on its own after a few seconds. The queen looks like she is in there for the duration and you might have a problem persuading the colony to use the plaster section.

yeah I think it might move with more workers, but how long do you think it will stay in there.

Its hard to say really.
Both my Lasius nigers and my Messors moved from their test tubes within 2 days once I had left them in the light and darkened the nest area.
If the conditions in the nest area are right, and its dark, they will probably move pretty quickly. If they feel secure in the test tube (even tho it is light) and the conditions are better in the test tube, they will remain there until they outgrow it.
Ants are Fickle little creatures :-) But its best to let them do what they want, or you just end up with problems :-(

As I always seem to say to members at this time of year, your ants will be starting to to settle down for hibernation. They will not do much until the end of winter now.
