Hi Guys,
Another simple question.
I am wanting to add a few decorations to my L. Nigers outside world. Was going to collect a few sticks and pebbles from my garden, and create a more natural environment, and create a few walkways etc...
Just wondered if that would be ok? Could there be anything on the sticks that could be harmful to them? Would they need to be dried out first? I would assume not but just want to be safe.
Thanks
Mark

If you collect any items you want away from gardens or farmland where pesticides may have been used, such as local woods or open heath land, then bits of stones and twigs are fine. You can also use a few plastic plants such as those sold for fish tank decor, as they don't die off from lack of water and won't grow either.
Ants don't mind exploring new things, so experiment with simple mazes or bridges around their foraging area, as this makes it interesting for you to watch how they work things out; and it gives them the chance to show off some pretty wild behaviour too.
