Does condensation affect the ants at all? Just trying to eliminate all the areas in case it happens.
Only thinking this because once you wet the substrate keeping a steady moisture, surely the ants produce there own heat, could this then cause higher humidity in their home leading to condensation....

Nothing much you can do will stop this, as it only forms when my ant tanks get very warm and never during cool spells of weather. As condensation is water in its purest form however, a little does no harm as it provides fresh drinking water for the ants. I find it is only a slight problem in my ant tanks, and it can be wiped away with a bit of tissue. In my 7 Ant Worlds which all home active ant colonies it has never been a problem at all.
