Hello everyone from Colorado, USA . I am new to this forum so I thought I would start with my favorite ant species. I started this colony at the beginning of July 2013. With an alate I caught, I brood boosted with 20 larvae from a wild nest. The colony survived winter sleep and the queen as produced a lot of eggs. I had a mild die off about 20 workers last week but they seem to be doing good now. They are housed in a THA haven

While I have eggs small and medium size larvae I'm back to losing workers 5-10 a day. This species is the first as a kid I tried to keep first I collected and first to bite me. My favorite species and my oldest colony and I can't seem to stop it dying.
