These guys that approach you in the mall or high St are getting worse! They are everywhere! I will give charity as I see fit and not be badgered into it. Maybe if the charities CEO's where not earning 80k+ I would be more giving, it's a joke. I remember a few weeks back an old lady In the news died and it turned out she was hounded by charities. She had many direct debits out of her account and only on a pension too. A relative said she was harassed by tonnes of letters in the post too... What a shame..
I was was jumped on straight after leaving the checkout at 'Pets at home' by Dogs trust for £1-5 pound a month. I felt like pouring my live crickets and mealworms over the woman's head for ambushing me at the exit door. I can't even shop in peace in my pet shop now. No more 'Science plan' for my Yorkie or live foods for my Lasius niger!!!

They try to make you feel guilty, like there is always food and clean water adverts on at 5pm for the starving Africans/Indians, just when you are eating your own dinner. You go to every supermarket now, and the foreign car wash people jump on you, for a £5+ wash, I'll get the cloth out myself first!

I find some of the Big Issue sellers get a bit too pushy, but the worst are women who just boldly come up to you asking for a pound for a cup of coffee. These beggars are clearly living on state benefits and are most likely richer than I am on my pension now I no longer work.
(Off topic) I worry also about having a car accident since hearing of the chap who was knifed just because he ran into another car. What is the world coming to?

I used to donate for like a half year in 2014. I stopped in January as I bought a new apartment, and I have to save more money. I constantly receive mail with an invoice from them with a "due date" and saying stuff like "We couldn't do this without you, thank you!". I know what they are trying to do, playing into peoples guilt.. Sadly it's not working for me. I agree with you both Jen and Wood.

Unfortunately Wood, there is a lot of angry and crazy people out there.... BUT... not forgetting there are a few good ones too.
