Having made a count of the ants I am currently keeping, here is the list of my ant colonies placed in order of species and genera.
Formica sanguinea - Colony with 1 queen and workers.
Messor barbarus 1 colony.
Camponotus albosparsus - 1 colony.
Camponotus cruentatus - 2 colonies.
Camponotus habereri - 1 colony.
Camponotus nicobarensis - 1 colony.
Camponotus singularis - 1 colony
Camponotus substitutus light - 1 colony.

Fingers crossed, as tomorrow I should be getting 2 new colonies and will be adding these to my list and making new journals.
The 2 species I hope to be adding will be }
Camponotus singularis.
Harpegnathos venator.

I have a colony of these ants on order from Ant Dealer in Germany, which should arrive by Thursday and I have a nice nest all ready and waiting for them.

Coming soon to my journal diaries I will be getting a colony of Tetramorium caespitum from Ant House in Spain, and a colony of Camponotus turkenstanus from Dean Syme. New journals will be made as soon as the ants arrive, which should be in about a week.

I will update this thread whenever any ant colony dies out. The current list is up to date, and I hope to add a few more species to the list this year, as I really want to try and keep a colony of Camponotus nicobarensis again and would like to try Pogonomyrmex and other ants from around the world, as long as they don't require any special needs such as very high temperatures and humidity; and they don't need a specially adapted nest of any kind, which rules out Leaf Cutter and Weaver ants.

Soon I hope to add another colony of Camponotus turkestanus to my journals, as a friend is sending them to me; but as yet I don't know if they will be all gold or black and gold. When they get here it will be a nice surprise to see which colour variant this species is.

I have a new colony of Aphaenogaster senilis on order, which should arrive very soon. I will of course be making a new journal with photos and videos, and hope that they do well as I have kept this species before; but in a soil nest, whereas this time I will try keeping them in an acrylic nest for better observation.

As I have heard nothing back from a friend who is supposedly getting me a colony of Yellow Crazy Ants, and I haven't had any new ants for quite awhile, I have just ordered a small colony of Formica sanguinea from Ants-Kalytta in Germany. I may have to keep them in a glass foraging arena, as Formica species are notorious for spraying formic acid; and being quite large ants my 2 empty acrylic nests may be too small unless I buy a bigger nest in the future.

As I will not be getting a colony of Yellow Crazy Ants, which my friend has been unable to find this year, he is going to let me have another colony of Camponotus turkestanus at a very cheap price. He has said this species does not like to be disturbed too often, so I will be happy to try keeping them again as the species is very interesting. This video shows what they look like.

I now have my colony of Crazy Ants with 2 queens, plus other new ant colonies have been added to my list of those species I am currently keeping. Journals of any ant species which I no longer have are now found in my archive board.
