To remember the few who saved us from being invaded by Nazi Germany in the Battle of Britain during WW2, this fly past of 12 Spits happened this afternoon from Goodwood airfield.

We are now waiting to see the big one on Tuesday, as a total of 40 WW2 planes from America and Britain are flying over the south east of England which should be an incredible spectacle.

The big take off was delayed by 2 hours, and as today Prince Harry was at Goodwood and he was due to fly up in one of the Spits which took off at 2 PM. He declined the offer in favour of letting one of the veterans fly in his place, and the whole show is being filmed for viewing on Channel 4 TV this evening at 8 PM. It has been great for us as all we have to do is stand outside or looks through our windows to see so many war planes flying above us.
