Last night we had a really hard frost here in the south of England, leaving the ground rock hard and covered in white this morning. According to reports from the weather office the UK is in for a bad winter, so be prepared to wrap up warm, keep your home insulated to keep the cold out and the heat in; and make sure your eat hot food and drink. Remember too that while British ants can survive the winter, to make sure those you keep are kept above freezing and supply some extra warmth for any ants which don't live in countries that have frost or snow. Take care everyone and stay safe out there, whether you are on foot, in a car or on a bike. Winter weather brings a lot of accidents, so be aware of this and we will all be around for 2017 and another year of ant keeping on the Ant Hill World forum.
