Over the last 3 days our youngest dog Bess developed an acute case of gastrointestinal disease with diarrhoea and vomiting. She stopped eating due to the illness and the vet said she would require a lot of treatment in care of the animal hospital. The cost of this was too expensive for us as it was £850, but we also did not want to have her put to sleep. So we had to make a decision about what was going to be the best for her. We were told that we could put her up for adoption and the vets would take her and treat her, and find her a good home with one of the vetinary nurses. So we made the decision to do this as we just couldn't afford the money to pay for the treatment. So although we feel really sad, at least she is a now able to receive the best possible treatment and care. She was a lovely friendly dog and she will be missed, but it is nice to know that she is a hopefully going to get better soon and live happily again. We still love her and will always remember her with happiness and joy.

I'm very sorry to hear that, Wood. I remember visiting you to see those wild Formica rufa and Bess sat on me for ages when we got back! I hope that wherever she is right now, she's living her best life.
