Hi all This question might sound a bit silly, but when I go to school shall I leave my bed room light on or off or does it matter? What will the ants prefer? because I have just got my first colony and I will not them to settle in really well. Does anybody know any ways of helping them settle in as they are still in the test tube and its been three days? Thank you Ben Post edited due to poor spelling and grammar.

I don't understand some of your question.
What kind of set up are your using?

sorry about the bad spelling and grammer as you have probably already guessed I am not the cleverest of people Ben, my profound apologies for going off topic here; but just consider this You are Professor Steven Hawking, stuck in a chair almost completely paralyzed, and anyone giving you a glance would assume that you're a total idiot because of your facial grimaces. In actual fact, the poor guy has Motor Neurone Disease which is progressive and sadly incurable at this time Now read his achievements here} www.hawking.org.uk/about/aindex.htmlNever put yourself down, as we all learn throughout the course of life; and as long as there are those willing to learn from this forum, and don't feel upset if others comment on their posts about spelling or grammar, then Ant Hill World members are more than happy to help

You must understand that if your ants are a Northern European species they will be wanting to remain in hibernation keep them cool and in the dark until spring.
