I woke up for 7am (my day off) and opened the kitchen door to let the cats out. To my horror Dylan (see below) had been on top of my painting table and found my paint palette Navy blue paw marks every where, as he had only walked across my oil paints in the night still wet from a week ago Paint paw marks were all over my white trolley, across the floor. Even where I keep the cooker covered with a whitish cloth, it now has navy blue paw marks on it!! It is a good job it was only one colour, as the rest had dried out I have had to go over everything with turps, and then wash it all off as it stinks of pine and is flammable. From now on I shall have to keep it hidden away, as instead of Dylan having cream feet he has now got 4 navy blue paws I think I shall have to cut his fur as he is covered in it!

I had the same problem with one of my dogs. I used to paint in the living room, and kept my paint tray (with 80 or so pots of acrylic paint) on a table in there. However, one of the new dogs just can't resist collecting small items from around the house. I came home from work one day to find her (and several items of furniture) covered in various shades of blue and red paint! Needless to say, the paint tray is now safely stored in another room ;D
