Hi all While walking my dog today I took a different route I normally go this way in the summer because in the winter its very wet. Anyway dog walkers like me walk around a grass meadow, as I said I normally go this way in the summer and the grass is very long by then. But this time of year the grass is very short (the field/meadow has not been tended for years and gone wild) and all over the field/meadow ant hills loads of them. Yes I've seen some on the edge as I've walked around but with the grass so short today I could see, they were less than 0.5m away from each other some very small and some huge about 0.7m tall and same again wide. Some workers walking about but it was late afternoon and it was getting cold so not many about but they must be years old ill try and get a pic or two. They all got loads of grass on them so when the grass is long in the summer you can't see them So now you know where I'm going to be at the end of summer with my jars and test tubes Shawn
