Bing Crosby may have sung about dreaming of a white Christmas at the Holiday Inn, but it has been far more years than I care to remember since we had snow in December here in England. Yet here we are with a good 4 inches of snow covering many parts of the country, so for the first time since I was a kid maybe we might just have a white Christmas? If we do, it will be a big treat for anyone under the age of 40, as most UK residents have never seen snow in December before, as usually it doesn't snow until around late January or even into February It sure makes a change from our cold damp or wet December weather, which we normally have had for many past years now. Although snow and ice always bring this country to a virtual standstill, it is nice to see a Winter Wonderland with the sun glinting on the snow and ice. Be careful out there if you're older, as it can be very slippery and old broken bones don't mend as fast as younger ones; but I wish I had my old sledge, as it is perfect sledging weather
