I have had a really awful flu bug for the last 7 days, and today I felt like having a bit of fresh air and mild exercise. So where did Jen and I end up? Shopping in a supermarket miles from our home, that's where. Now I feel like death warmed up and have terrible back ache for doing too much, too soon Jen is happy, as she bought herself some new slippers and bags full of sweets; but why is it that having the flu for a week leaves you thinking you're fit, then once you do something like go out for a couple of hours, you end up feeling like you are at death's door? Virus infections are things I hate, as they hang around far too long, even when you think they've gone, just because you feel fighting fit when you first get up in the morning; and then you realize that you are still as weak as a kitten

I think Wood over did it today, as he has not been out for about 10days. We ended up in a massive Wal-Mart, but to get to it we have to go by train and then there is about a 2 mile walk from the station, as the bus connections to that store from the train station are useless. He has had his tea and is now in bed shivering, and burning up at the same time, clutching a water bottle It is a weird bug as he felt better this morning, and wanted to go out, I just hope he doesn't give this one to me

Again I feel better so far today, so I have got up for some breakfast, although I am still sneezing and feel hot. I really crashed out last night, as I had a weird dream about inheriting one of my maternal grand-fathers old houses (he owned 7 around the town) in my home town of Macclesfield. The roof was missing and most of the upper floor was in ruins, but the ground floor was habitable; and there was a nest of black ants with red on their thorax living in the cellar. These ants attacked me and had a vicious bite, but any that were killed were instantly carried off by Lasius flavus workers. I remember seeing a queen of the unknown species, and she was all black and about an inch long (2.5cm). I always have very graphic dreams when I have an influenza virus; so real you can believe they're happening. Always in colour too

I've just had this bug and my back is killing me. I feel under the weather, but I do get days off school. So I do not know if it's just one of those things. but I'm almost better.

There is a fluey type bug going around, as quite a few of the staff in the hospital have had it and I picked it up last week. It leaves you tired and listless, you think you have energy until you try to use it I think I slept for a week, and was so glad when it went completely. I get offered the flu jab for free with my job, but the last time it made me ill with flu effects the day after So this time, I might not take them up on it. If we go and get flu after not having the jab, you get told off by the management for going off sick
