When I read what happened to Nat with the mugging, I just had to post about this. Not to downplay what happened, but my mother and I recently moved south to Florida here in the US, and just about a few months ago, on Mother's Day, she was carjacked. Never in our lives have we ever dealt with such scum, and for the first time in her 43 years, and the first in my 20 she became the victim of a violent crime. He had a gun in one hand (Thank God he did not use it) and a knife in the other. He swung the knife at my mother, and broke the glass on her driver side window, just narrowly missing her face. If it were not for it being dark, and the window being halfway up, she would of been slashed in the eyes. Anyway, the police met up with us at the local gas station, and have been on the lookout for those punks ever since. I am just very thankful for the fact that he did not use the gun he was armed with. Maybe it was not loaded, who knows. Anyway, it is a shame that we have reached a time in age where we cannot walk out our front doors without having to worry about being mugged. I hope all is well, thanks a bunch. God Bless, and Later Days....... =P

Sorry to hear about your mum (BetsyWetsy) and glad she came out of it unscathed, but I bet quite shaken. When we had a car, I would always drive with the door locked, and the window just open a crack for fear of that sort of thing. I have had several road rage incidents happen to me, and one was quite scary, because they followed me in the dark with their lights off for quite some miles, riding on my tail lights. They teased and darted in and out, and then pretended to hide and came out at me from another junction blasting their headlights on and off. They eventually stormed past gesturing, but I honestly thought they were going to bumper me over the Sussex Downs, which are quite a sheer drop, and it was 2am at the time. We were going up to Wood's mothers in the north which is about 250 miles away, so I had just started my journey I was quite shaken after that incident as it was more frightening than I can explain it, but I was determined to continue driving even though Wood had offered to take over the wheel! Betsywesty, thank god you weren't hurt
