Yo guys, obviously, I've been gone for awhile. I have firefox on my other computer (the one I'd always use to post here, had my pw saved and email and everything. Well, FF glitched and deleted all my favorites, so its taken me awhile to get back around, especially in blizzards.. Who thinks of ants in blizzards?
Well, today while trying to upturn a stump after it had rained (you know where this is going) I looked over and a few feet away was a wonderful Camponotus queen. Normally I get one queen of these a year, if I'm lucky. Last year was my first successful year with them. I got 2 (one on a trip) and the other in my yard. Both produced workers and I believe one colony is still alive in my garage (I'm unsure, its hard to get to them behind the masses of stuff). Hopefully this one will be successful aswell. My other colony of Camponotus is an orange species that I just love, I've got this colony set aside from all the rest, beautiful ants with brilliant orange. Had them 2 years, maybe 30-40 workers strong. Maybe this year they will grow faster? Hehe...
