Just had my second mating flight and once again, the epicenter was my garden ;D Caught 3 Niger Queens and 2 Flavus Queens although could of taken a lot more but cannot see the point:P My garden was literally crawling with mated Niger queens but, the Flavus did not seem to be mating as much as there was plenty with wings but only found 2 completely wingless and so defiantly fertilized I also got another 4 Flavus queens that I have paired up however, all of these queens have half a wing so not sure if they are actually mated I don't have any test tubes so had to use some interesting containers... In the first flight I only got one queen as at this point I had not got back into ants and didnt take advantage of all the other queens running around but after seeing her tunneling and laying eggs in a jam jar the craze has started for me again If all these queens found colonies (Unlikely) then I will have to sell or release some Anyways good luck to everyone else with whats left of the mating season
