Good morning, It has been a while since I posted . Having started school I am quite busy. I just wanted to share with you guys that I am very happy as I have a new Biology teacher whose name is Vicente. The first day of class, we had to introduce ourselves to him. When it was my turn, one of the things I told him was my love for Myrmecology. Then he started talking about E.O Wilson and Bert Holldobler which I of course, knew about. He told me if I was just interested in the aspect of keeping ants or in the scientific aspects of ants. I told him both. When telling him this he told me if I knew or had the book The Ants , I told him I knew about it but I did not have it as I could not afford it at the moment. He then told me that if I really wanted it (which I did) he would bring the book from Spain to me as he knew someone who had two books! I told him what ants I kept and surprisingly, he knew most of the species I was talking about! It also turns out, that he is a Malacologist (a person which studies snails and slugs) When I did my own investigation through the Internet I found out that he donated 400 specimens of slugs to the Museum in his region for the basis of his Ph D Thesis. Just thought I'd share this with you guys. Thanks for reading, Blem12.
