Our cat Chester, will have completed 6 trips to the vets by the time they take his stitches out on his right back foot you can see on the slab in the picture He developed what I thought was a cyst type lump on his foot back in the summer no bigger than a pea! As time as gone on it's grown larger until one day it burst full of fluid. Down the vets we went, given antibiotics £46, and told to come back a week later when the infection had reduced. Back to the vets, he said it was a tumorous lump, it was a choice to investigate £67 Biopsy, or cut it out straight away, I went for the cut out option. He is back home now, he hates his vets collar I have nick named his Easter bonnet he only wears it at night so he doesn't pull his stitches out, an inch long scar! Because of where it is there is not much skin to sow together, so he musn't jump about. Back to the vets tomorrow to have a healing check, stitches out next week, and it will all round up to £300 Not having insurance anymore animals are a costly business, it makes ants look cheap ;D

My dog has a few similar lumps on his belly, but they don't seem to be hurting him and the vet did a biopsy on them, confirming that they're harmless. Good luck Chester. Also, I've always thought your dog was adorable.

Just come back from the vets with him, he's now in a sulk All is healing well considering the lump left a big hole! I am just glad the stitching is strong as he is bent on jumping around the furniture. Everytime the dog wants to go for his walk, Chester wants to go too like he normally does, if looks could kill with those blue eyes of his ;D
