Nice colony of lovely looking ants, they are a gorgeous colour. I also like the way their eyes look sky blue on the close up shots

A few new photos! Busy day. One of the workers antenna is stuck in some sap from the spider. Eating a cut up meal worm. Fast growing brood. Naked pupa?

The colony was crammed in the test tube so I decided to move them into my other Camponotus set up. The move went smooth but I did have a few runners but managed to catch them all.

C americanus seem picky when it comes to food compared to any other Camponotus specie I have kept. I made a list of what they will eat. sugar water honey fruits crickets spiders meal worms flies

I found a small surprise today. A male was born then torn up by the workers.
