Garden Visitor

Our nearest water is the river Lavant, although we do have the odd pond that forms in our local wood. Imagine my surprise when I found this little chap swimming in one of the buckets I have been using to collect rain water in.

As he couldn't have hopped out, I put him in a bowl with a rock so he can come and go at his pleasure. ;D

He has been around my garden for over a week now, but where he came from is a mystery.

We had a pond for the best part of 8 years before it had to be filled in, and we still get frequent visits from toads and frogs. They tend to be under the paving slabs or around the compost bins in our gardern where it's warm and damp. ;D
