Friday my Leptothorax acervorum colony arrived from deansyme and they where all well . so I fought I should start a journal, I have some pictures though the camera is not great. the colony are of a good size with a lot of brood, they are tricky to take pictures of them as they are very small. but here's the accommodation and the dark area of the nest is where they are located at the moment. you can see the testube that contains honey water and platform holding some chop cricket, though I haven't seen them touch the cricket yet. sky view the nest

I have seen them drinking honey water that I have supplied in an test tube . I going to go and try and buy some fruit flys to give them a try also I start to try and culture white springtails which cold be good food source for many of my ant colony's. any ideas on what I can try to feed them please post all help welcome
