Okay, let's start off a story. ;D Anyone who wants to contribute needs to follow a few simple rules. 1) After a member has posted on the story, please wait until a different person has added their bit to it before posting again. 2) Please post at least a whole sentence or more, but don't add more than 3 sentences per post. 3) Please try and follow the plot of the storyline, although you can diversify or deviate slightly from the main story as long as it connects. For example, don't stray too far off the story by making a completely different one, such as turning the story into an invasion of aliens when the story is about ants; but you can make the aliens small enough to invade the ant's nest if it fits Like all our past stories, I will start the ball rolling and hope enough members feel happy to chip in with their bits, and we'll take it from here

OUR REALLY WILD ANT STORY by Ant Hill World Members. In a time long ago there was a race of ants called Vali-Ants, so named because they lived in a valley in Wales. ;D They were big and powerful, and were led by a fierce warrior queen who's army conquered all in its path. ************************************************************* Next person posts please!

The Vali-Ants have enjoyed a 'Golden Age', being the dominant insects in the Valley and having explored it to the full. The Colony has seeded the outside of the Valley with new Queens from two prior flights, and the Nest site is well-hidden from large predators.

The Vali-ants were thriving indeed. One day, another queen arrived in the valley. She was from a peace-loving species never before seen, and she was tiny compared to the Vali-ant queen.

In fact she was so tiny she was able to slip into the valiant nest and steal their brood. This did not go down well with the warrior queen, who decided to declare war on every living insect from one end of the valley to the other.

The leader of the insects was the Red Dragonfly, who was also a mighty warrior, although he feared to wrath of the Vali-ant Queen who had a huge army of deadly fighters. *********************************************************** Foot Note: The Red Dragon is the national emblem of Wales and is found on the Welsh flag, hence the reference

A fierce tribe of army ants were called up for the oncoming battle, but they complained about Wales being too cold and wet for them and left to go back to the country where they had come from.

The mighty Welsh army of red ants defended the mountain tops, as they had never been conquered by the valley ants. They stood proud as they painted their faces blue with woad for war, as they rallied to the banner of the red dragon fly ;D They cursed the little ant queen as she has caused such trouble.

It was believed at first that the boy would defeat the vali-ants, but as time passed the insects started to realize none knew the boy! All they knew was that he had a very powerful weapon, some round transparent thing with a wooden stick coming out of one side which shot fire after being aimed a while. The boy was so big he was like a God and seemed indestructible. The insects were afraid once again. *************************************************************************************** a magnifying glass

Was the boy an ally or an enemy? None of the insects knew for sure, so sent out messengers to find a real hero, as not one had yet appeared or come forward.

Meanwhile, down in the woods at the far end of the valley, the Wood Ant army was gathering a large force of acid squirting killers. Would this army side with the vali-ants, or join the red ant army?

At least the red ants had some wasps as allies, and they still had the might of the Red Dragonfly who had a lot of support from the bees who pollinated the apple trees across the English border. Maybe allies from other countries would come to help if they could be called?

One day the ants were having a break to lick their bums and a crazy German man tried to catch them all and take them abroad, but the ants stopped him and reported him to perthnow news so he left them alone.
