hello ,
I checked on my ants last night and I saw something very strange my ants there is only 1 queen 2 workers and some eggs and cocoons, they had blocked off the tube going from the ant farm to the forging area (the test tube is connected to the other side of the ant farm)and they had moved half the eggs near the tube and the queen was sitting over them but they had not started digging but the other half of the eggs were in the test tube still and they weren't moving them so I looked this morning and they had moved back into the test tube.
I thought this was a bit weird and needed advice
thanks

Not entirely weird when you know ant behaviour, as they are always moving brood from one area to another in the nest depending on the humidity, temperature and other conditions. At the moment they evidently prefer the conditions to be found inside the tube.
