Well my bonny wee fish tank is officially over run with snails, dozens of the horrors, am now awaiting delivery of some assassin snails, never used these before, so will be interesting to see if they will get rid of my infestation.

What kind of snails are they? I've found that unless they eat your nice-looking plants rather than algae that they're not much of a problem. Good luck with your assassins. Loads of tiny white Collonista snails have turned up in my marine tank, but luckily they are harmless grazers.

Just your average small round snails, not the rams horn ones (I think that's what they're called), never fails that I buy new plants, think I have checked all over for snails first but always miss one or two, worst I have had them, normally just hand pick them out, but fighting a loosing battle this time, the assassins are suppose to be good given time and tend to hide out in the gravel so aren't noticable.

Well my assassin snails seem to be doing the trick, I have 10 in the tank but they tend to live in the gravel and only ever really see 2 or3 later at night, but my infestation is definately on its way out.

Nice to hear that, last time I had a infestation of those snails in my tropical fish tank I couldn't get rid of them, and it led me to quarantining my whole tank.

Well I would definately recommend the assassin snails, had never heard of them before and have kept tropicals for 20yrs on and off. Sent from my GT-I8150 using proboards
