Nice looking colony. You can always rely on Dean to send good healthy ants, and with plenty of workers by the look of them. Keep the foraging area dry as that will discourage the ants from making a nest there, as Myrmica like it moist and will go into the Ant World if you keep it dark and damp.

I was very surprised to see so many workers so definately great value and they are mostly all out apart from the queen and a few ants moving dirt around. They have found the honey water as well . I have left a light layer in the foragering tank In hope they make there way to the ant world up the pipe next to the entrance to start tunneling . But only time will tell just hope they settle in ok :-)

Have amended my previous post to give some info on getting the ants to move into their new home.

Aww great stuff cheers wood ant. Yeah I kept the box and used that as a cover for the ant world so fingers crossed. I can see however 1 ant in the tube to the ant world but its dead :/ hoping nothing to bad cause I didn't see if it went up there alive or another ant carried it up there.. But just sat watching them now

glad they arrived safe! you should have a thriving colony when all that brood become workers...at least a couple of hundred workers anyway.
looking forward to reading their progress ( one of the most satisfying parts for me is seeing ants I sold do well and grow ).
Pleased you are happy with them.

Yeah I am well happy. I'll start a journal with picture progress so you can see how they are getting on after few days. Looking forward to watching them grow strong :/) Cheers again dean.
