Hey guys as some of you might remember I posted about honey pot ants a while back, well after more researching I can't find loads on them, so if anyone on here has kept them or has any experience with them could give me some pointers on housing, temps and humidity and diet that would be amazing. I've found somewhere that sells them too but not sure on the legal side of things www.antstore.net/shop/Ameisen-und-Wirbellose/Ameisen-aus-Amerika/Myrmecocystus-mimicus-Honigtopfameisen.htmlThis is the link so I hope it's ok to post here, also if anyone has ever ordered from this site before it'll be a big help if you could comment, I will be emailing them sometime, but if anyone knows if it's legal for these to come into the country (Uk) that would be Amazing , some of this might sound silly but I do not want to do anything wrong and I want to do everything Right. Thankyou Scott.

I have bought ants from them in the past, but not recently. They used to sell very good ant colonies, then their prices shot up and some of their ants were sent in a poor condition with a few even arriving dead on delivery. You always take a risk buying ants from any seller, but the German sites have got a poor reputation over the past few years, so the choice is yours; and make sure you can get a refund or replacement colony if things turn out badly, such as the queen arriving dead, which did happen with one colony I had from them. This tends to put you off if ants are sent out and arrive dead or in dirty conditions.

Hey thanks for replying Wood-Ant, I guess it's gonna be one of those things where you have to take a chance then, as some places have good reviews with the bad reviews.
Can you point me in the right direction of a good care sheet for them at all with a bit of details ?.
