I was delighted to see that the BBC has chosen an older actor to play the role of the 12th Doctor Who Click here to see who as this means no more manic acting from the rather immature role as played by Matt Smith. I am so looking forward to the next new series.

I'm happy with the choice of the new Doctor Who too, and yes about time we had an older actor to play a 900 year old Time Lord.

I remember my first Dr was Peter Davidson, and my first ever episode was the regeneration from Tom Baker to Peter. Although he was my first Dr, my favourite of those years was Sylvester McCoy. But recently I thought Ecclestone was a great Dr, as he was new, fresh and quite cool if you see what I mean!

I think my jelly baby addiction stems from the Tom Baker incarnation and I also remember Jon Pertwee with affection

Day of the Doctor was good. I always wondered what if he bumped into his older selves. I understand the first three Drs have passed and the 4th looks quite old now. But I did wonder if they could have included the 5th and 7th (Davidson and McCoy) somehow in the plot of Day of the Dr to mark the 50th but I suppose they are from a different era. The 6th I never really got on with.

John Hurt just stole the show as he was absolutely superlative. I'm not so sure that Queen Elizabeth the first would have said some of the stuff she did, and it was nice to see Tom Baker at the end, although if the Doctor regenerated then it didn't explain how the fourth Doctor had become an old man and curator of the museum? However, all in all this was a brilliant story and with John Hurt playing the "forgotten Doctor", we now know there are 13 in all including Peter Capaldi

'The Curator', curious. He simply referred himself as the Curator.
Yes, 13 Drs, I hope it is not the BBC saying we are now going to change it or we have ran its course lets finish it after Capaldi, however now that the Time Lords are back (and they always where there) I am sure they can grant the Dr 12 more regenerations!
And yes I am anti 'Mrs Dr Who' and I do miss the screaming assistants, and in this day and age I am sure we can get away with a male assistant screaming, but we need a male Dr, somehow eccentricity works better with men! Eccentric woman tend to own a lot of cats, and that would not work to well in the TARDIS.

I just hope the xmas special will be a lot better than the pathetic "Day of the Doctor" they have just shown :PJohn Hurt was too good for it and as for Matt Smith I will be glad to see him go he's so irritating, I just wish Moffatt would go with him after his terrible story lines! We might just get an improved version then, with more Daleks
