I used to keep these about 20 years ago, but as the nymphs are not too cheap to buy I sent for some ova (eggs) instead, in the hope that I can raise this unusual form of stick insect. They are called Australian Giant Prickly Stick Insects, but in actual fact they range far beyond the continent Extatosoma TiaratumHere is how to keep them Care Sheet

I kept them in the past and now I have 50 eggs waiting to hatch. The seller told me that the eggs were laid in September so I think they will hatch soon.
They are voracious insects, I remember that to keep 10 adults I needed to replenish the food (bramble) two times a week.
This time I will try to feed them not only bramble but also ivy and, when spring comes, oak leaves.
