The other day we decided to clean out our hedgehog house, after removing the lid, I was using a stick to check if there was anything in it, every time I moved to a certain area I heard a loud angry buzz, so being brave (with two very long sticks) I removed all the straw and dumped it on the grass and after more prodding managed to remove the small ball of buzzing straw, I realised it was a bumblebee nest , still at this point not wanting a bee nest in the garden with kids running around, I thought just leave it out over night and they will leave, but I would go on the internet to see what it said to do, so long story short, the nest is now back in the hedgehog house and pleased to say, not much damage done, the following day watched out to see if there was still live and was happy to see the queen and workers coming and going.
