Did anybody watch the new Dr Who first episode with David Tennant. I thought someone would have already posted about this so if they have in a different tunnel I'm sorry.
There were cat nurses and a giant head, and people with lots of diseases. Was quite good for a first episode and next week looks good with the werewolves. I can't wait for the cybermen episodes. I know wood likes the Dr Who series, and a lot of other people do too. Next episode is on Saturday.

Wood hasn't posted on it, as we were both disgusted with these new versions of Dr Who. I think they are getting worse and more silly, when they had the opportunity to make something out of it this time. The new Doc is better than the previous one I think, but they need to do something with the storylines, and also slow it down. I feel as if I am watching a mad race all the time, as if they are trying to cram it into not enough time

I've never watched it, I saw it advertised last night and the computer graphics look good.

What can one say about the new Doctor Who except, it is rather tame and disappointing I blame the story writers, as they just don't seem to have the same flair and pizazz as the old stories done back in the 1970's and 80's With today's modern special effects and computer graphics at their disposal, you'd think that they'd work wonders. I suppose you guys who can't remember the older Doctor Who episodes or actors probably don't agree with me, and think it is absolutely fabulous I think Penlid is right about bringing back some old arch enemies like the Cybermen, plus more of the Daleks please BBC Let us all hope that the programme improves with time; for as Jen says, David Tennant is definitely better than Chris Eccleston was, who I thought made a right old hash of the role

I have just been on Terry Molloy's forum (he is an actor who played Davros back in 1988), and we are currently constructing a petition to the producer of the new Doctor Who series and asking him to- "Bring back Davros" Let's hope the chaps at the good old Beeb take notice For those who don't know who, or what, Davros is; take a look below. DavrosAnd here is my 12" model Dalek, made from a kit by my own hands, and the Kaled war machine created by Davros himself. (Dalek is an anagram of Kaled) Kaleds were the race of humanoids on the planet Skaro A Dalek

Don't worry wood, I know that the cybermen are definantly in this series, I think I saw an interview on Tv where the creators mentioned it, they are also bringin back K-9, who is apparantly getting his own tv series.
I can't comment on this series compared to the older Dr Who as I havn't seen them, but I like the way they have sort of modernised it a bit. Next week's episode whould be ok, Russel T davies is the writer now, the only other things I know of his are casanova and queer as folk, so he has worked with David tennant before.

Frankly, I liked the old Doctor Who episodes better. I can't remember his name but he looked to be in his 40's and had a lot of brown frizzy curly hair on his head....I really liked his acting.
Oh well.......

His name was Tom Baker, and was the most popular one. He didn't really want to give the role up, it was the BBC that wanted to change him for another

Did you see the new one last night with Queen Victoria. It was quite a good episode I thought, the werewolf was very scary and I liked the way they incorporated the monarchy.
Next weeks one looks good as it is set in modern times and K-9 makes an appearance which will be good as apparently he was in the old series.

I thought Pauline Collins played the role of Queen Victoria very well, as I am so used to seeing this actress play opposite her real life husband, John Alderton. The actor who is playing the current new Doctor Who, David Tennant, is much more into the role, and has given the character back some credability as a Time Lord Good to see Sarah Jane Smith and that loveable robotic dog K9 are making a reappearance next week

K-9 was great, I'm not sure what he looked like in the old series but he was fantastic, he had such a cool voice. I liked his little laser he used in his mouth.
Was an ok episode last night with a previous assistant, and micky has joined the crew.
