I was wondering how many people on this forum are Canadian. I'm thinking about selling my extra ant queens this year, but it's only legal if I sell them to Canadians, I can't ship across the border. So I would like to know how many people would buy colonies from me, so that I don't collect way too many.

I am Canadian but I'm not selling any ants, although later on [Few years at least] I might.

Alright. What species do you currently have? I think you told me once but I forgot.

Only one colony of Myrmica sp. Or do you mean what species can I acquire?

I meant what species you keep currently. Another question: what species do you want?
I'm trying to gather info on what species you guys find really interesting, and would be interested in buying.

Well I personally like species that grow fast. I also like species that have a major caste or soldier caste. That's just me though.

Alright. Lasius are pretty fast growers I think. Camponotus have majors, but they're done flying already. So I guess I'll sell Lasius alienus and maybe Lasius pallitarsis (which is a very pretty-looking ant) queens this year, then I'll add Camponotus modoc queens to the list next year. Thanks for the feedback dermy!

Then I missed them, they haven't flown here yet.
Also sometimes Camponatus will fly again[different species] in June.

Saskatchewan, we haven't even seen the largest Camponatus flight yet.

I've seen: Camponatus modoc Camponatus vicinus Camponatus penn Just to name a few. It's highly unlikely that you have seen both Camponotus modoc and Camponotus pennsylvanicus in the same area.
