I don't know how many of you guys have been in front of the TV today watching the D-Day Events, but most of it has been very moving and emotional. The French President's speech was a bit long winded, but when you think that the veterans are around the age of 90, it makes you wonder how many may be left alive in 5 or 10 years, as there were only about 600 today for the 70th anniversary unlike 20 years ago; and of course thousands of British and allied troops and servicemen fought and many died taking the Normandy beaches of Gold, Utah, Omaha, Juno and Sword back in 1944 on June 6th. D-Day SpiritWe people of the free world owe a lot to these guys, as they brought World War 2 to a speedy end and did so much, as did all the airmen, soldiers and sailors who died in that war. The pomp and ceremony was well worth it today, and WE WILL REMEMBER THEM.
