I checked and I only noticed 2 types of ants in my area...small black sugar ants and a few brown(reddish) ants...I have my eye on the reddish ones for the nuptial flight...anyway...then I occasionally see one big lonely ant ( I mean huge ) wondering in my house against the walls...wish I had taken a photo...will all type of ants have their flight the same time or will it happen separately? Will there be different types of ant queens in one nuptial flight?

Different species have their nuptials at different times., and some nuptials can be extended over months, and some can be only for a few days. The large solitary ant is likely to be a queen looking for a place to set up shop - if she has a proportionately large thorax, then she's a queen.
