I'm reading a lot about people having extra foraging space...and I understand that ants wants to feel natural when foraging for food ect. What does it mean when talking about foraging space?

Added onto the main nest is usually a tube/airline, leading out to a plastic box of some sort or out world as they call it. It can be another small tank, or container, just something extra for their rubbish (called a midden) and for insects etc. You can also keep cotton wool with sugar water soaked here in a cap or bottle top. It's extra foraging space too and somewhere for the ants to hunt. This area for ants to roam away from the main nest, is very dependant on your own personal space, and how much you can comfortably give them, especially if you keep loads of other species.
