Hey guys , I'm still here if anyone has wondered ha ha , I find myself very much like the ants hibernating during the winter season. I work long hours so in the winter rise in the dark and arrive home in it. gets very depressing at times so I tuck myself away.
Also doesn't help not having a lot of ants to blog about. I do have my Lasius niger still, just the one colony at present. it didn't hibernate too well though and has just three workers but plenty of brood and the two founding queens which still remain.
As soon as the weather warms up and I notice some Lasius niger under my slabs in the garden I will attempt to brood boost them a little.
Anyway hope you all are well and ants are doing excellent : )

Good to hear you are alive and crawling about like the "worker ant" Adam. New season, new start so they say The weather is warming up, at least here on the South Coast anyway. Ah the dreaded 4 letter word, work! I hated all 36 years of it, and was glad to retire from it. I wouldn't have minded if it had paid well for all the stress it caused in life, but it never did. Now still poor, but at least my time is my own and no bosses!

Hey Jen thank you, nice to hear of you : ) , work makes me feel very much like a worker ant sometimes , work work work without any appreciation from my bosses. And it only pays well because I am doing the hours to make it so , 60 hour weeks here : ( , some weekends I feel like a exhausted honey bee and feel like collapsing. hopefully this will be the last year of it.
Shall start thinking bout moving on to something new as I am getting no younger.
