population seems that it has exploded over the last week, as well as the fungus. but for one reason or another they have been bringing fungus up from the nest and keeping it on the surface and even in the tubing, fungus on the surface again a bit of fungus in the tubing. could it just be that they have kept making fungus without building more Chambers to put it in? (I really need to get a camera)

Thanks they were coming up to about 4 years old 300 workers Strong, I think the sudden aggression could be because they have just produced a lot of winged queens and males (the Pheidole that is)

my longest lasting colony came to an abrupt end sometime this morning when my Pheidole got out and found there nest, and they've also killed my wax worm pupa and a small Lasius niger nest

The population is steadily increasing and the fungus garden now stretches form one end of the tank to the other by the looks of it, or they have build 2 fungus gardens.
at the moment they really seem to like sycamore leaves and are going through 4-5 a day so they are more than likely going to want a change soon.

they are not really that much, and you can get some real bargins on Ebay, I mean I got my whole set-up for about £15-20 I think, that was tub, heat mat and roaches (100-200), so if you look around you can get them really cheap ;D

well they are one of the biggest food insects I have (apart from locust) so yes they do have a lot of meat on'em, but I think the fact that they are roaches puts some people off ;D

my next door neighbour who tells everyone else to shut up then makes a lot of noise her self, and has a dog (which is kept down the bottom of her garden in a 5x3 meter kennel thingy 24/7) which is always barking, and does she go make a fuss of it, no she opens the back door shouts shut up then goes in and computer when they go wrong!
