Today I have spent my whole day preparing for my colony that will arrive on Saturday the 9th of July. I am sat here in my room sweating as it is so hot and HUMID, I have basically set up my tank for the Acromyrmex octospinosus and the heat that it is giving of is nearly unbearable ;D... the hygrometer in the tank shows 85% humidity and the thermometer show 27 degrees celsius.... this is my set up. I filled the tank 50cm with water and placed my newly bought Aquarium heater into the water... before I knew it, the tank had risen to 85% humidity and a high temperature... I then placed a small tank with soil into the water and made a crater the size of my fist into the soil where I will put my colony. I then got a garden cane and broke it, I then placed it from the soil tank to an even smaller tank filled with sand, this is where I will place the leaves.... just waiting for my colony to arrive.. I am very exited. ;D Just hope they arrive without harm. Here's the set up.

Sounds like a challenge. ;D I wish you every success with these, it sounds like you've gone to a lot of effort to make the set up right.

Can you post a proper photo please, as I can't get the file to work. Modified the top post to include a direct link to the photo. On that note AntsEngland, when putting the image, do this: <url=IMAGEURL>TEXT</url> But use [] instead of <>, like how I've done here: If the image is small enough to place without stretching people's screens, then use this instead: Which places the image directly into your post. Bit easier and quicker than downloading the image.

That's a shame. But it will give you something to look forward to over the weekend. It will be over before you know it, today seems to be going very quickly for me.

I am very annoyed as Antstore Say that they will come sometime in AUGUST If you find it hard to wait that long, ask for a full refund, as if you have paid for your ant order then they evidently are not in stock I hate it when someone thinks ants are in stock and places an order, only to be let down, as this happened to me and a few of the other guys last year. Getting a refund of your money at least means you can order ants from somewhere which says they have them in stock

I enquired about a refund to Antstore and they say that they can't because it is a one off item and they can't replace it I am never going to buy off them again, next time I will probably be buying either from ants kalyyta or world-of-ants.com

Yes, Antstore isn't really as good as Ants Kalytta, which is run by an ex-employee of the former.
